How it works

How GoBLAM CS2 tournaments work

Elimination contests, Silver and Golden Tickets, and a skill-adjusted scoreboard. Then use the match-day check so launch feels like a checklist, not a scramble.

Your play client

The contest

How a GoBLAM contest works

Everyone starts even. You stay in by keeping your points above zero. A published band of finishers is paid, not only first place.

Points knock-out

Every contestant starts with the same points. Each round takes a round cost from your balance. You gain points for kills and lose them for deaths. The winning side gets a round-win bonus. You are eliminated only if your balance is zero after the round is fully scored. Round costs rise as the field shrinks. The contest ends at a published remaining-player cutoff.

Skill-adjusted Rating

Your Rating updates on every kill and death. Beating a higher-rated opponent is worth more points; beating a lower-rated opponent is worth less. That handicap is why you do not need to be a pro to compete for prizes.

Silver and Golden Tickets

Start in a free-to-enter contest — no tickets required. Silver Tickets let you enter Silver contests. You can win Silver Tickets, and in some regions you can buy them as a Ticket Bundle. Golden Tickets can only be won, never bought. They unlock Golden contests, which award real-money prizes.

Ticket Bundles vs Prize Payouts

A Ticket Bundle buys Silver Tickets only, and only where purchase is offered. Tickets are credits for entering contests, not cash. If you win real-money prizes in a Golden contest, those sit in a prize balance. A Prize Payout is how you request that prize to a bank account.

Published prize pools

Each contest publishes its prize pool, payout band, and award type before entry. Those numbers lock when the contest opens. GoBLAM funds the prize pool. Entry tickets buy a seat; they do not fill the pool. If a contest does not meet its minimum field, it does not run and entry tickets are returned.

Before tournament time

Run the match-day check

Use this once you have already entered. It is about the join path, not repeating account setup.

Keep the live tournament page open before the scheduled start.

Make sure your CS2 client or GeForce NOW app is up to date.

Steam: use Launch in Steam when your assigned server appears.

Phone companion: scan the QR code for quick access, or use the Home Screen app for full-screen repeat use.

Stay signed in with the GoBLAM account that entered the tournament.

Keep your play device ready; the server card can appear close to start time.

Steam

Join from Steam on PC

The Steam launch button is the normal path. GoBLAM uses a Steam deep link so CS2 can open and connect to the assigned server without a manual console step.

01

Open the live tournament page before the start time.

02

When your server appears, choose Launch in Steam.

03

Accept the browser or Steam prompt if one appears.

04

CS2 opens and connects to your assigned GoBLAM server.

Second screen

Use your phone as live companion

Your phone is for live data and tournament actions. Use the QR code for the fastest match-time view, or the Home Screen app when you want full-screen repeat use.

01

Fast QR path: scan the live page QR code to open the current tournament view quickly on your phone.

02

Saved app path: on iPhone, open GoBLAM in Safari, tap Share, choose Add to Home Screen, keep Open as Web App on, then tap Add.

03

Launch GoBLAM from the Home Screen when you want the full-screen companion. iOS will still open future QR scans in Safari.

04

Sign in if asked, then open the live tournament page and tap Start companion.

05

Use the phone for live standings, score changes, restore windows, and extra-life status while CS2 runs on your play device.

QR companion

Best at match time: it opens the current live view from desktop on your phone. On iPhone Safari, portrait usually leaves more usable space.

Home Screen app

Best for repeat use: it removes Safari controls and launches from the icon. On Android or the Home Screen app, rotate to landscape for the widest companion view.

During live play

Use the live page as your tournament dashboard

GoBLAM is more fun when you follow the tournament while you play. Keep the desktop live page or phone companion open so rank, balance, rating movement, graphs, and actions are part of the match.

Desktop live page showing the server card, balance, rank, and Top Up controls
Desktop live page: keep the server card, balance, rank, and actions visible between rounds.
Phone companion showing the You screen with rank, score, status, and personal live events
Phone companion: swipe through focused screens when CS2 is full screen.

Leaderboard

Track your rank, nearby contestants, and how many people are still active.

Balance

Your live tournament score. Use it to understand whether you are safe, under pressure, or ready to Top Up.

Rating

Rating changes show momentum as kills, rounds, and eliminations move the field.

Rank & rating graph

See your run over time instead of guessing from one number after a busy round.

Live feed

Use the feed to understand why the board moved and what just happened in the tournament.

Actions

Watch Top Up and extra-life availability between rounds so you know when a tournament action matters.

Keep the desktop live page open on a second monitor, laptop, or browser window when you can.

If CS2 is full screen, use the phone companion and swipe between You, Leaderboard, Level, Rank graph, Teams, and Connection.

Check rank, balance, and action availability between rounds; that is where the tournament pressure becomes visible.
